This interactive session is a safe, neuro-affirming and culturally sensitive space for parents of autistic girls aged 5-11 (diagnosed or suspected) to explore the challenges they are facing within a safe and accepting space. 

It is an opportunity to get top-notch information, tools and understanding from a culturally sensitive, neuro-affirming autistic coach with decades of experience as an autistic woman, professional and mother.

It will cover:

• Sharing lived experience of an all-autistic family

• Capturing what is tricky for your family right now (ask me anything!)

• Mythbusting fun

• What is different in autistic girls?

• Strengths, difficulties and superpowers

• The impact of diagnosis, deficits and the medical model

• How autistic brains work best

• Autistic bodies and interoception

• Masking and camouflaging – when they are different at home and at school

• Intersectional issues – the impact of multiple disadvantage and discrimination

• Celebrating the brilliance of difference
