A pilot workshop delving into creative writing and poetry with Savia Rocks a published professional photographer, award-winning writer, poet, songwriter, producer, and CEO/founder and host of the Us People Podcast. Savia is also the 2023 award winner for Best Influencer & Content Creator.

This workshop is suitable for siblings of autistic/SEND children, as well as autistic/SEND children who can work independently or with some support.

Costs include all materials, handouts, and refreshments.

- Imagery and Description: Teach how to create vivid images and sensory details.

- Voice and Tone: Discuss how to develop a unique voice and appropriate tone.

- Structure and Form: Cover various forms in poetry (sonnets, free verse, etc.) and narrative structure.

- Show, Don’t Tell: Emphasize the importance of showing emotions and actions through actions and dialogue.

- Metaphor and Simile: Teach how to use figurative language effectively.

- Editing and Revision: Discuss the writing process and the importance of revising drafts.

- Inspiration and Creativity: Explore techniques for generating ideas and overcoming writer's block.

- Reading and Analysis: Encourage reading and analyzing works by established authors and poets.

- Peer Feedback: Facilitate constructive criticism and feedback sessions.

- Thematic Exploration: Discuss common themes in literature and how to incorporate them.
